I recently read the news about Sly Stone being homeless and living in a Winnebago I'm not going to insult the man, or try to talk about his financial situation. I refuse to kick a brotha while he's down. I instead want to focus on Sly's contribution to rock music and race relations. I want to refresh everybodys' mind on who Mr. Stone is and enlighten those who may not know who is. The music was and still is funk at its finest. The list of artist he has influenced grows on a daily basis whether people know it or not. He is embedded within in American music.
